6 and CX-5 at its Malaysian factory and import them to Thailand under Afta trade benefits.
The Thai AutoAlliance plant is too crammed up with production of the BT-50, 2 and 3 (as well as the Ford Ranger, Everest and Fiesta), so it is only rational to spread assembly of other models to another Asean facility.
While the
CX-5 is confirmed for early next year to battle the Honda CR-V[/font], the
6 could come towards the end of next year.
