On October 29, it was reported that the third-generation Mercedes-Benz CLA will use a 2.0T four-cylinder engine manufactured by Geely and Horse. The latter, more formally known as Horse Powertrain Limited, was created on May 31, 2024, as a 50:50 owned company between Geely and Renault.

สาเหตุก็น่าจะมีส่วนจาก Mercedes-Benz Group AG ถือหุ้นบริษัทตัวเอง น้อยกว่าจีนถือ สองเจ้า
1. BAIC 9.x%
2. ตัวเจ้าของ Geely 9.x%
3. Mercedes-Benz Group AG 7.x%

ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับเว็บทางการของ MB เอง ก็บอก อันดับหนึ่ง BAIC อันดับสอง (เคยเป็นอันดับหนึ่งพักนึง = powerful) Li Shufu เจ้าของ Geely

สุดท้ายก็ยังต้องให้ค่ายเยอรมันปรับแต่งอยู่ดี คิดว่าจะเป็นการลดต้นทุนไปด้วย เครื่องรุ่นที่จะออกมานี้คงได้ใช้ร่วมกันแน่ๆ

พอตอนขายอะไหล่ ก็ราคาเยอรมัน

ยุคหลัง hybrid merc ก็เอาเรื่องอยู่นะ geely นิไม่รู้ชื่อเสียงด้าน ICE เป็นยังไงแต่ bev เค้าแม่นอยู่แก๊ง PS ปัญหาจุกจิกมีแค่ software พวก power train น้อยกว่า bmw มากครับ

จำได้ว่า Benz ตระกูล พวก A CLA GLA B GLB ที่จำหน่ายในไทย ใช้เครื่อง 1.3L เบนซิน ของ Nissan-Renault (นี่ก็น่าจะเป็นเครื่องญี่ปุ่น ลูกครึ่งฝรั่ง)
ส่วนเครื่องยนต์ที่ผลิตโดย Geely จากจีน รับรอง ความทนทานสู้เครื่องยนต์ฝรั่งๆหรือญี่ปุ่น ไม่ได้!!!!!! แม้ว่าภายหลังค่ายยุโรปจะปรับแต่งให้เข้ากับตลาดรถหรูก็ตาม
