At today( 1 ก.ค. 2011)'s Australian International Motor Show, Ford has announced the all-important final detail for its 2012 Focus hatch and sedan range: its pricing.

Starting at $21,990 - in-line with the current model's entry pricing - the Focus range will kick off with the Focus Ambiente, powered by a 1.6 litre Duratec Ti-VCT petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

At the top-end of the line-up - which includes two bodystyles, four trim grades, three engines and three transmissions - is the $36,090 Focus Titanium.

Power for the 'LW' Focus Titanium is provided by Ford's 2.0 litre Duratorq TDCi turbodiesel engine, paired with Ford's Powershift automatic transmission. The diesel lists fuel consumption figures of 5.5 l/100km.

The priciest petrol Focus for the 2012 model year is the $32,590 Titanium with Ford's new direct-injected 2.0 litre petrol engine, producing 125kW and 202Nm of torque.

The new engine represents a 17 percent improvement in power and a nine percent improvement in torque over the outgoing model (which produced 107kW and 185Nm).

Fuel consumption for the 2.0 litre petrol engine is rated at a claimed 6.6 l/100km in the PowerShift-equipped Trend and Sport variants.

The 2012 Ford Focus range is on sale from August.

Three different engines will be offered including two petrols and one diesel.

The entry-level petrol engine is a 1.6-litre Ti-VCT Duratec four-cylinder unit, which produces 92kW of power and 159Nm of torque. It will only be available in the base model Ambiente and will be teamed with either a five-speed manual (hatch only) or six-speed PowerShift dual-clutch automatic transmission (standard in the sedan, optional in the hatch from November).

Combined cycle fuel consumption is 6.2 litres/100km for the manual and 6.6 litres/100km for the automatic (CO2 emissions 144g/km and 154g/km respectively).

The outgoing Focus (CL, LX and Zetec) is offered with a 107kW/185Nm 2.0-litre petrol engine. Combined cycle fuel consumption is 7.1 litres/100km with the five-speed manual gearbox and 8.0 litres/100km with the outdated four-speed auto, making the new model between 13 and 17 percent more efficient.

Next up is the 2.0-litre GDi petrol engine, which produces 125kW of power and 202Nm of torque. It will be the standard engine in the Trend, Sport and Titanium model lines. The Trend and Sport hatches will come standard with the five-speed manual transmission, and offer the six-speed PowerShift transmission as an option. The Titanium models, along with the sedan variants of the Trend and Sport, will only be sold with the six-speed gearbox.

That means there will be no Focus sedans available with the manual transmission.

Combined cycle fuel consumption of the 2.0-litre GDi is 7.2 litres/100km (167g/km CO2) with the manual and 6.6 litres/100km (154g/km) with the PowerShift (Titanium: 6.7 litres/100km, 156g/km), which matches the 1.6-litre Duratec.

The final engine is the 2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi turbo-diesel, which will be available as an option on all models other than the Ambiente. The diesel engine will be teamed exclusively with six-speed dual-clutch transmission (Trend hatch available from October).

The engine’s performance data has stepped up from 100kW/320Nm in the outgoing Focus to 120kW/340Nm in the new model. Despite this, combined cycle fuel consumption is down from 5.6 litres/100km to 5.5 litres/100km, with CO2 emissions of 144g/km.

1.มาสด้า 3 ใหม่ที่ต้องมีเทคโนโลยี่สกายแอคถีบพร้อมทุกระบบ เครื่อง เกียร์ ตัวถัง ช่วงล่างเป็นรุ่นสกายแอคถีบทั้งคัน
2.ถ้ามาสด้าเล่นตัวมาช้าเกินไปผมเอา โฟกัสใหม่เลยดีกว่า ถ้าฟอร์ดเอาเครื่องรุ่น TDCi 163 แรงม้า มาวางนี่โดนสุดๆเลย

  ตอนนี้ได้ข่าวว่าครูซจะเล่นแรงแล้วนะ จะวางตัวดีเซล 2.2 ลิตรรู้สึกม้าจะ 180 กว่า(ไม่แนใจ) ถ้าโฟกัสมาน้อยกว่านั้น เอาเครื่อง 143แรงม้ามาวาง
มันจะเสียทีตกม้าตายเอาง่ายอีกนะ....ระวัง
